Hasil Afektif Pembelajaran Kooperatif IPS di Kelas IX SMP Negeri Kabupaten Bengkayang, Kalimantan Barat

The ability to interpret maps in Class IX students at one of the Bengkayang Regency State Secondary High Schools was still low. Therefore, the purpose of this study was to improve learning in Social Sciences (IPS) with good map interpretation material. The hope of the researcher as a IPS teacher was that at least 80% of students were able to interpret the map well. This research was conducted in two cycles. The results of the first cycle of student assessment completed as much as 59.37%. Meanwhile, in cycle 2, the results of the assessment increased to 93.75% of students who completed. Thus, the cooperative learning method was effective in improving social studies learning about interpreting maps.
ABSTRAK
Kemampuan menginterpretasi peta pada siswa Kelas IX di salah satu SMP Negeri Kabupaten Bengkayang masih dikatakan masih rendah. Oleh karena itu, Tujuan Penelitian ini untuk meningkatkan pembelajaran Ilmu Pengetahuan Sosial (IPS) dengan materi menginterpretasikab peta yang baik. Harapan peneliti selaku guru IPS bahwa paling tidak ada 80% siswa mampu menginterpretasi peta dengan baik. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan dua siklus. Adapun hasil penilaian siklus 1 siswa tuntas sebanyak 59,37%. Sedangkan, pada siklus 2, hasil penilaian mengalami peningkatan menjadi 93,75% siswa yang tuntas. Dengan demikian, metode pembelajaran kooperatif efektif dalam meningkatkan pembelajaran IPS tentang menginterpretasikan peta.
