Abstract
This study deals with the implementation of mobile-based DA in developing the potential of learning Arabic in Islamic Religious Education students. This study employed a case study involving an Arabic lecturer who taught Islamic Religious Education students. Data was gathered using semi-structured interviews and artifact analysis from WA group discussions. Data were analyzed thematically. The findings of this study indicated that the lecturer invited five students in the WA group to be assessed and mediated. The lecturer's mediation was conducted by providing opportunities to understand and answer questions and giving instructions to students when they answered questions incorrectly. Another strategy, the technique of translating texts by students also played an important role in avoiding misunderstandings in understanding the instructions for each question. From these findings, pedagogical implications in the practice of DA in teaching Arabic at the tertiary level are also discussed.
ABSTRAK
Penelitian ini berkaitan dengan implementasi penilaian dinamis (selanjutnya di sebut DA) berbasis ponsel dalam mengembangkan potensi belajar bahasa Arab pada mahasiswa PAI. Penelitian ini merupakan studi kasus yang melibatkan seorang dosen bahasa Arab yang mengajar mahasiswa PAI. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan menggunakan wawancara semi-terstruktur serta analisis artifak dari diskusi grup WhatsApp (selanjutnya ditulis grup WA). Data dianalisis secara tematik. Temuan penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa dosen mengundang lima orang mahasiswa dalam grup WA untuk mengerjakan tes dan memediasinya. Strategi dosen menggunakan mediasi dengan memberikan kesempatan untuk memahami dan menjawab soal dan memberikan petunjuk kepada mahasiswa ketika mereka menjawab soal dengan tidak benar. Selain itu, teknik menterjemah teks juga oleh mahasiswa juga berperan penting untuk menghindari kesalahpahaman dalam memahami perintah setiap soal. Dari temuan ini, implikasi pedagogis dalam praktik DA dalam pengajaran bahasa Arab di tingkat perguruan tinggi juga dibahas.
